2. Data we collect

• Product news: name and email when you subscribe on cutsports.app for product notices and news.
• Licence data: email address and machine identifier (Mac) needed to activate and validate the subscription.
• Payment data: processed entirely by Paddle (our payment provider). We do not store card numbers or bank details.
• In-app and website usage data: most work (videos, analysis projects, diagrams, notes) stays on the user’s device. We may also collect pseudonymised product telemetry (events such as app open, activation, video import, mark/clip creation, production, playbook, projection or export; and on the website page views, CTAs, pricing, checkout or download). Events include timestamps, version/build, language, random visitor/session IDs and, when applicable, a link to your licence. We do not send project names, opponents, player names, file paths, free text, video content or playbook content.
• Technical data: IP address (handled by hosting infrastructure), browser type, operating system and session identifiers on the website, collected automatically for security, operation and product-funnel measurement.
• Support communications: if you email us, we keep the message content and your email to handle the request.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Product news — consent (GDPR Art. 6.1.a). By submitting the subscribe form you agree we may process your name and email to send CutSports notices. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Service delivery — performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b). Needed to activate CutSports Pro and maintain the licence.

Payments and subscriptions — contract performance and legal obligations (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.c).

Transactional communications (purchase confirmation, renewal notices, activation instructions) — contract performance (Art. 6.1.b).

Product improvement and first-party analytics — legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f). We measure activation, retention and feature use via pseudonymised telemetry hosted in our systems (Supabase, EU), without analysing the coach’s private sporting content. You may object by emailing info@basketouch.com.

Prevention of free-trial abuse — legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f). We look up the licence history linked to your email to limit the free trial to one use per email address (we do not block downloads or paid purchase). This check runs on our servers before checkout and when provisioning the subscription.

Marketing communications — consent (Art. 6.1.a). Only if you expressly accept (including news subscription); you may withdraw at any time.

4. Third parties that receive your data

• Brevo — news contact management (processor). Holds name and email on our subscriber list under our instructions.
• Paddle — payment processor. Billing data is governed by Paddle’s privacy policy.
• Supabase — database platform for licences, activation and pseudonymised product telemetry (EU servers).
• Vercel — hosting for cutsports.app and serverless functions that process news signup before sending it to Brevo.
• Resend (or another transactional email provider) — activation and subscription-related emails when applicable.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

5. Retention

Product news: we keep your data until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Email info@basketouch.com to unsubscribe.

Licence and subscription: we keep licence data while the subscription is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will erase personal information linked to your licence within 30 days, except billing records retained for 5 years under Spanish tax law.

Product telemetry: raw events are kept for up to 13 months; aggregated summaries may be kept while a commercial relationship exists and for up to 24 months after it ends, unless a legal duty or erasure request applies.

6. Your rights

As a user in the European Economic Area you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).

To exercise these rights email info@basketouch.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

7. Cookies

We use essential technical cookies on the website, browser local storage (cookie preferences, authorised beta access and first-party attribution/telemetry identifiers when product analytics is active) and payment-provider cookies during checkout. We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies. More detail in the Cookie Policy.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), restricted access to licence systems and periodic infrastructure review.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or a prominent notice on the website or app before changes take effect.
